A number of puppies that I have bred are enjoying being involved in a variety of activities that make me very proud. This is the best way of promoting the breed and demonstrating what a versatile and easy dog they are to live with.
In 2015 there was a new competition at Crufts called "Obreedience" that consisted of a team of four dogs (+ 2 reserves) of the same breed competing in a team obedience event. The Smooth Collies finally finished 6th out of an original 25 teams and two of the team were bred by me and a third was sired by my dog. A great achievement and I am so grateful to the owners for taking part and showcasing the breed.
Sophie Harrison with Bindi again organised a team for 2018 that did really well and finally finished 2nd overall at Crufts.
Sophie is now concentrating on Bindi's obedience career and has successfully moved from Novice to Test A and I wish her well in flying the flag for Smooth Collies in this highly competitive field.
Dogs I have bred are enjoying agility, obedience, rally, KC Good Citizen and pets as therapy and here are some pictures showing them participating.
Below is an article written by Sophie Harrison about her experiences of owning her first Smooth Collie (Seanua Sans Souci) that may be of interest to those people still considering the breed.
